Parent Lunch Day

Parent Lunch Day is an event that occurs on the first Thursday of every month. On Parent Lunch Day, students get to invite their parents to eat lunch with them and/or bring them food. This gives kids a chance to have a nice meal with their parents at school. Parents can get to meet their kid’s friends and their friends’ parents. Thursday, June 2nd was the last Parent Lunch Day of the year and for eighth graders, it was the last Parent Lunch Day of junior high. I, personally, loved spending a lunch period with my mom and getting to talk about our how our days were going so far. Seeing my parents half way through the day helped give me the energy to finish out the rest of the day strong.
